Boy defended mother using toy light sabre
An 11-year-old boy defended his mother by hitting an attacker with a toy light sabre, police said yesterday. The man, in his 30s, fled after being confronted by the youngster outside a bakery in Swardeston, near Norwich, officers said. Police said the boy hit the man with his toy after the man punched and verbally abused his mother as she approached her 4x4 car. Officers are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened at about 11am on December 22. PC Allan Jennings, of Norfolk police, said: "The incident caused quite a commotion and it is unlikely it would have gone unnoticed."

that is the best thing i've heard all year. i've taken to listening to as little newsas possible and i'm definately less annoyed all the time and i'm starting to feel ever so slightly less powerless. i know it's just sticking my head in the sand but all that bad news just gets me down...
I know how you feel it's not really the bad new per se, more that when you hear of something grim happening in Kenya for example and you think well what do I do about that. I think we need an international force of jedi to help us along.....
